We have come up with some healthy vegetarian recipes with our sesame seed bars that can be put together very quickly. You can eat them any time of the day and get an energy pump for the rest of the day.
Mixed sesame and almonds avocado toast
– 2 slices of whole grain bread
– 1 large avocado
– Sea salt
– 1 oz Treasure Trove mixed sesame and almonds crunch
Toast the bread until it is crunchy. Add salt in freshly mashed avocado. Mix until it is mostly smooth. Spread the avocado on the toasted warm bread. Grind treasure trove mix sesame crunch and sprinkle over the avocado toast. Serve immediately.
Tuscan kale, apple salad with tart cherries and sesame crunch
-2 cups chopped Tuscan kale
-2 cups of sliced red cabbage
-2 cups of sliced Brussels sprouts
-1 large Granny Smith (green) Apple cut in small cubes
-1/2 cup dried tart cherries
-2 oz of Treasure Trove sesame crunch
Olive oil, lemon juice or lime juice, apple cider vinegar, salt.
Mix all ingredients together, drizzle the dressing and toss to combine. Let it stay 10-15 min before serving.
Apple crisp breakfast parfaits with pumpkin sesame crunch
-3 red apples
-3 green apples
-1/2 cup of water
-1 tablespoon of honey
-1 tablespoon of lemon juice
-4 cups plain Greek yogurt
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-4 tablespoon of honey
-2 cups of Treasure Trove pumpkin seed crunch
To make applesauce: peel the apples and cut them in small chunks. Combine all ingredients in small pot. Cover and bring the mix to a simmer over medium heat. Stir 15-20 min. Remove from the heat.
To make yogurt: combine yogurt, lemon juice. Whisk to combine and then add honey.
To assemble parfaits: in a mason jar place 1/2 cup of yogurt then top it with applesauce. Top the applesauce with additional 1/2 cup of yogurt. Last, add a layer of Treasure Trove pumpkin sesame crunch on top of yogurt. Serve immediately.
